Red Dress Dress Red: Where Community, Creativity, and Controlled Chaos Collide

Red Dress Dress Red: Where Community, Creativity, and Controlled Chaos Collide

❤️ Some events are great.
Some events are fun.

And then there are the ones that get under your skin—in the best possible way—and become part of who you are.

For us at Zynger Events, Red Dress Dress Red is exactly that.

We first partnered with the LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert back in 2013, and what started as “another event” quickly turned into one of the most meaningful, joyful, and downright unforgettable productions we’ve had the privilege to be part of.

Over the years, we’ve watched Red Dress Dress Red grow into a true Palm Springs staple—an event that brings together an incredible cross-section of the community in a way that feels effortless, inclusive, and electric all at once.

And let’s be honest… it’s also a bit of a beautiful beast.

Because behind the glamour, the fashion, and the high-energy celebration is a production that keeps us on our toes in all the best ways. We’re producing this event at a museum, right next to an active runway—which means, yes, at times we are quite literally coordinating around planes being moved.

Add in the need to ensure that our lighting design plays nicely with nearby airport towers (because apparently aviation safety is important… who knew?), and you’ve got yourself a production environment that requires creativity, flexibility, and a very good sense of humor.

And we love every second of it.

Because what makes Red Dress Dress Red so special isn’t just the logistics we navigate—it’s the people it brings together.

This event is a vibrant, joyful celebration of diversity in every sense of the word. It’s a space where individuality is not just welcomed, it’s celebrated. Where the community shows up boldly, authentically, and with a whole lot of style.

It’s connection.
It’s expression.
It’s community.

And that’s why it continues to be one of our favorite events year after year.

We’re incredibly proud to have been part of this journey since 2013, working alongside an organization that does such important and impactful work. Watching this event grow while staying true to its heart has been nothing short of inspiring.

If you want to see what all the magic looks like when it comes together (planes, lighting constraints, red dresses and all), take a look at our highlight video below:

And of course… we’re already looking ahead.

Planning for 2027 is underway, and we’re excited to continue evolving the experience—finding new ways to surprise, delight, and elevate while staying true to everything that makes Red Dress Dress Red what it is.

Before we get there, we have to take a moment to say thank you.

To our incredible client, the LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert—your trust, partnership, and vision are what make this event possible year after year.

To your dedicated staff, board, and sponsors—this event simply doesn’t happen without your support, commitment, and belief in what this community represents.

And to our amazing vendor partners—this is truly a team effort. From production to lighting to décor to every detail in between, we are so lucky to collaborate with such talented, hardworking, and adaptable professionals who show up, figure it out (sometimes in real time), and make it all happen.

It takes a village… and this one shows up in style.

Because if there’s one thing we’ve learned after all these years, it’s this:

When you combine community, creativity, and just the right amount of controlled chaos…
you get something pretty extraordinary.
