Top LA event planning company, Zynger Events, warmly welcomes Jacob Ruiz as its newest member. As Event Manager, he will be our Director, Ryan Zynger’s, right hand man in producing interactive and engaging events across the country for corporate and non-profit events. Please read our interview below to find out more about Jacob and his work with the company:

So Jacob, tell us a little more about yourself and where you went to school:

I was born and raised in Clovis, California and made the move to Southern California in the Fall of 2014. I graduated from California State University, Fullerton and majored in Communications, with a concentration in Public Relations. Outside of the classroom, I was on the Men’s Track & Field team and bartended at night!

How did you find yourself being involved in events?

 Back in 2014, I was working at premiere recreational youth and family camp. I was a general counselor at the time and was promoted to a Family Program Director. This position was really unique because I had to developed programs and activities for family engagement. It took a lot of creativity, but I walked away knowing my activities and events were thoroughly enjoyed. I also have been living in Los Angeles for about a year now, and have had some amazing opportunities working in special education, event management at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA, and completing an Orange Coast Magazine internship.

What will you be doing at Zynger Events?

 As a new Zynger team member, I will be assisting with the planning and implementation of all logistical aspects on our events. In the office, I liaise with vendors, volunteers, guest list, track travel and transportation, and so much more to create the perfect event.

And lastly, what do you like to do for fun outside of work?

My interests outside of my work field include going to the beach, running, board games, traveling, and discovering new recipes to cook, as well as spending time with friends and family.
