27 Nov Zynger Events Has Been Nominated for a Gala Award!

The Gala Awards are this industry’s “Oscar.” They have been given by Special Events magazine, the premier industry publication, since 1986, and recognize the finest work in special events worldwide. This year, the magazine received entries in 34 categories from 13 countries which makes us all the more proud of our nomination!

The event for which we were nominated was in the category of the Best Event Produced for a Nonprofit Organization. The Wallis Annenberg PetSpace AnniFURsary was held for 2,000 guests to commemorate the first year of PetSpace’s important work connecting people and pets with successful adoptions.

One of the main attractions of the free, family-friendly was the custom-made wave rider provided by Lucy’s Pet Foundation. Guests were treated to a show unlike any other where trained dogs performed surfing demonstrations. Nearby guests were delighted by dogs skateboarding, jumping hoops and showing off their best costumes.

We transformed a large parking lot into a carnival-like, creative space with fun activities for both humans and their canine companions!

The main stage featured a wide variety of entertainment throughout the day, but at the height of the event all the families who had adopted pets through PetSpace were brought to the stage. Happy Birthday was sung and a cake made especially for the pets in attendance was presented. Everyone was treated to people and pet character artists and face painting.

The winner of The Gala Awards will be announced on January at a gala ceremony at The Special Event 2019 in San Diego.
