2012 Zynger Year in Review

2012 Zynger Year in Review

Post from Zynger Event Designs’ December 2012 Newsletter:

With 2012 coming to a close and preparations for 2013 already in full swing, Zynger Event Designs took a moment to reflect on the past year and highlight some of the great events we worked on 2012.

Zynging in the Year!

2012 started with festive kickoff for LA Arts Month on the steps of the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Wells Fargo sponsored the celebration as guests were dazzled by performers from Cirque du Solei and legendary LA band Ozomatli.

The party continued with acrobatics at the Music Center and an array of influential speakers including a warm welcome by LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, encouraging guests to discover the arts across Los Angeles throughout January and the year.

After Party á la Zynger

In July, we were thrilled to be part of a big birthday celebration, when the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Film Festival opened with a glamorous Opening Night Gala for its 30th anniversary. Right from the start, the over 2,000 guests noticed that Outfest 2012 would be special, since there was not a red, but an orange carpet leading everyone into the beautifully restored Orpheum Theater in Downtown LA.

After the opening screening of HBO’s Vito, it was time to celebrate at the biggest outdoor After-Show-Party DTLA had seen, sponsored by HBO, Absolut Vodka, Barefoot Wine & Bubbly, & Coca-Cola, just to name a few.  No matter if guests wanted to leave their wishes on a larger than life birthday card, enjoy the delicious food from an array of top vendors or relax in a colorful lounge, there was the opportunity to do it all.  It was a summer night full of inspiration and creativity, with guests able to express their own ingenuity at an elaborate Cupcake Decoration Station, generously donated by Yummy Cupcakes.

Ama-zyng Award-Shows all over California

We were honored to make our contribution to Equality California and their outstanding Award Galas. Not only did we have a glamorous night with Thelma Houston performing her hit “Don’t Leave Me This Way” at the Beverly Hilton, but we also celebrated equality in San Francisco, Palm Springs and San Diego. The stunning venues, including the The Riviera Resort and Spa, The Beverly Hilton Hotel, and The Fairmont San Francisco Hotel, created elegant spaces for EQCA’s Cocktail Receptions and Gala Dinners, exemplifying our client’s mission and celebrating honorees in dignified and polished environments.

In San Diego, we had the chance to include the California sunshine in our event by having a lavish Garden Party at The Lily Award Winning Home of Joyce Rowland and Pamela Morgan. Southwest Airlines, State Farm Insurance, and Wells Fargo were some of the larger sponsors who treated guests to an exciting silent auction, a savory sushi bar, and a boisterous live performance by Left Over Cuties.

Foundation Launch in Zynger style

Last but not least we had a great time bringing smiles to lots of children at the launch of Chris Brown’s Symphonic Love Foundation. We transformed a quiet back patio into a joyous carnival with food carts, stilt walkers, magicians and fun activities for children from the Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA). Finali-zyng all this we had a great DJ, a live performance by Debbie Alan Dance Company, and Chris Brown decorating cookies with the guests.

The Zynger Team would like to thank everyone, who was a part of our events this year and helped us making every single event a success.

We wish all of you a beautiful holiday season and a good start into 2013!
